I, too, have been in your shoes. Life deals suffocating blows that make the existence of God seem impossible. While there are many reasons why people deny faith in God, for myself, the existence of pain seems to be the most convincing. I pray this is a place where you feel safe to ask questions. With that said, I will always be me, so be ready for some truth, but it is always in love.
My search for God was in the midst of questions, challenges, and honestly confusion. These questions stem from some deep roots in the Nation of Islam to scattered memories of a Jehovah’s Witness and the abyss of atheism. My torrential past flooded me with the desire to search for God because, if He was not to be found, then life seemed meaningless. Don’t stop seeking God because He promises, that if you seek Him, He will be found.
Apologetics has been the icing on the cake in my Christian walk! God has kept His Word! These timeless truths are not hidden! His invisible attributes are clearly seen, and there is no excuse for unbelief. It is a pleasure to share these truths. They have created a fervor for my prayer life, a fervor for ministry, and a fervor to join in His ministry. These timeless truths are not hidden! The reward for intentional engagement is a love for God, His Word, and His people.
I am a dedicated family woman, editor, senior writer, and minister deeply passionate about my faith, family, and fostering meaningful conversations around religion and ethics. I hold a degree in Philosophy of Religion and Ethics from the esteemed Talbot School of Theology. While I originally embarked on my academic journey without a clear vision for vocational ministry, God had other plans. Over 15 years of unwavering service later, I can affirmatively say that I am exactly where I'm supposed to be.
Family is my first ministry. I am happily married and blessed with three energetic boys and a loving, albeit "useless," family dog. Between reading, cooking, and serving as the official chauffeur to sporting events, my life is as full as it is fulfilling.
Professionally, I wear multiple hats that I am extremely proud of. I serve as an editor for one of the largest African American publishing houses in the United States. Additionally, as a senior writer for Women In Apologetics, I am honored to be a voice in a space that combines intellectual rigor with spiritual depth. These roles not only align with my skill set but also offer platforms to participate in important cultural and religious dialogues.
I have had the privilege of traveling from Japan to South Africa to preach the Gospel and educate our youth. Over the years, I've also conducted youth conferences for various organizations including Youth for Christ Ministries, American Baptist Churches, and more. I’ve even had the opportunity to teach chapels for Biola University and Talbot School of Theology.
In everything I do, my ultimate aim is to take captive false ideas, illuminate biblical truths, and uplift the church community. This ministry, this life, is a culmination of years of servitude, learning, and, above all, leaning on the eternal faithfulness of God.
To God be the Glory!
